Juan Eduardo Alfaro is a Senior Information Security Specialist and Data Governance Expert with over a decade of experience leading digital transformation and cybersecurity initiatives across Latin America. His career has focused on strengthening organizational resilience through cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and ethical data management.
He has worked with major corporations such as Copec S.A. and Banco Itaú, where he developed and implemented large-scale frameworks aligned with international standards like ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, and data protection regulations such as HIPAA, FERPA, and CCPA.
As the founder and director of SecureData Now, Juan Eduardo leads a nationwide initiative to help small and community-based organizations in the United States—particularly in healthcare, education, and social services—enhance their cybersecurity readiness, meet compliance standards, and foster ethical, secure digital practices.
